Every June, the town of Esquimalt holds a pirate themed celebration called Buccaneer Days. This festival has been running since 1966 and often results in locals attending dressed in naval and pirate themed outfits. There’s always local crafters selling their wares, a carnival, and a lovely parade every Saturday morning. I managed to get down to the carnival on the Sunday afternoon and while it was a slower afternoon for attendance I still managed to get some pretty decent photos of the rides in action as well as some of the games!
