If you’ve ever heard of the British television show Doctor Who, odds are you know that the most iconic visual from the show is the 1960’s style bright blue Police Box that’s really a time and space ship in disguise! TARDIS is actually an acronym that stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space, and her pilot is an alien from the planet Gallifrey who goes by ‘The Doctor’. The Doctor spends his days traveling through time and space helping wherever he can, saving planets and eliminating threats like the evil Daleks who are constantly trying to exterminate everything in their path.

Why is this relevant, you ask? Holy Cow Communication and Design, a marketing and design firm in Sidney, took it upon themselves to construct their very own TARDIS in the interest of raising money for the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation. The extra bonus is that David Tennant, the fan favourite actor who portrayed the 10th Doctor, is in town filming a TV series called Gracepoint. Holy Cow has placed their TARDIS on their office balcony in the hopes that David Tennant himself may see it and stop by, which would help raise even more awareness and hopefully funds for the hospital itself.

The TARDIS is available for photos by donation to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation at the Holy Cow office located at 301-2537 Beacon Ave in Sidney between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday.
